Yesterday was a strange day...
Our older son called me to tell me he would be a little late picking up his sons because something was wrong with his car. When our daughter came over she told her dad something was wrong with her car. Steve went outside to check it out and told her she could not drive her car because her brakes were really bad.
Then he had to take our other son to youth group at our church. On the way, his car breaks down. No warning...just stopped...on the highway...
The blessings seen in the midst of all this were...
Our son was going to take his 4 year old with him, but at the last minute decided to leave him with us. So when he had to walk to the gas station while it was snowing...
This little guy was safe and warm.
And by God's grace our daughter got her car home before her brakes went out.
So these two are safe also.
Our son had just arrived home when I called him about Dad's car. He went to pick up his dad and brother. Delivered brother to church, and brought Dad home. Two more family members safe!
Dad and I then took our van to get the car moved to a safe place. (The place he broke down was only one exit from where he works, so we were able to get the car there with no problems.) By then, it was almost time to pick up our son from church. At the end of the day we all arrived to our homes safely.
We are all thankful for God's grace and love.
We see HIS hand in the midst of trials
and
are happy we will have more days to do this...
I'm trying to remember to count my blessings instead of my troubles.
